Friday 20 January 2012,12:00-6:00pm
Britto International artist’ residency 2012
A unique artistic journey that uncovers astonishing artistic intervention that shift the participants’ view of the everyday through
dialogue with the architecture, plants, soil , vehicles and people of Dhaka. Dhaka walk was based on contemporary forms of street
art and side specific performance in the urban realm with Diana Wesser. The idea is to work on our ideas and to try out whatever
comes to my mind. This was a collaborative works we discussed it with the group. Diana did attach a list with links to dive deeper
in the field of street art and performance in public space.
I was free to develop a work on my own, but we should also talk about the options of creating a collaborative work/walk. In my
presentation there was an option to think of simply taking a group of people (audience) with me and make them see/feel/hear/smell my
personal way of perceiving the city. Can be very simple things, but we had enough time left to talk about this and to try things out!
